Today, January 19, 2021, the Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI); in collaboration with the Blantyre Small Scale Business Operators (BSSBO); the Minibus Drivers and Conductors Association; and the Kabanza Operators presented petition to the State President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera through Mr. Sekila Kayange, Blantyre City Council Administration Officer who received the petition on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

This peaceful march started from Blantyre Upper Stadium to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital roundabout then proceeded to the Blantyre City Council offices. All COVID-19 Prevention measures were followed. Face Masks were distributed to those who had no masks.
